About
About Bluewatch.
Bluewatch is an independent UK firefighter recruitment aggregator, built and run by a serving firefighter. It scrapes every UK fire and rescue service directly, every six hours, and emails subscribers when a relevant role opens. No accounts, no fees, every link goes to the service's own application page.
Why Bluewatch exists
The recruitment information has always been scattered. Fifty-something service websites, half of them with vacancies pages buried three menus deep, most of them silent about when applications open and close. If you're trying to maximise your chances by applying across multiple services, you're refreshing a dozen tabs every week, hoping you don't miss a window.
Bluewatch covers wholetime, on-call, control, transferee, specialist, officer, cadet, and volunteer roles. Plus the airport ARFF, defence fire, industrial, and overseas employers UK firefighters move to. Generic office roles get filtered out by a classifier. If a role is on Bluewatch, it's operational.
What it isn't
Not a recruitment company. Not affiliated with any service, the FBU, or the NFCC. Nobody pays to be listed; nobody pays to use it.
If a service tells you something different to what we show, the service is right. We're a tracker, not a source of truth — always confirm dates and eligibility on the service's own site before you apply.
